Here are a few more things you can do to support your local businesses!
Tip a little extra
If you have a steady paycheck, consider tipping a little extra for the service workers. When you tip a little extra, especially on take out orders this will leave a little extra for kitchen staff.
Spending time online? Engage with your favorite business - leave a positive Google, Yelp or Facebook review. You can also like, comment and engage with a business on social media. This is free but it helps businesses know they aren't forgotten and this kind of social currency pays dividends of a different kind. Now is a fantastic time to deepen relationships with friends and neighbors that operate your favorite local business.
Arts & Culture
Did you have a ticket to a show that was cancelled? Consider making your ticket a donation instead of asking for a refund. This can help many organizations that are struggling at this time. Many of these performances may be rescheduled in the future so make sure to check your email or their social media posts for updates.
