Description:

The Women's Resource Center advocates for the personal empowerment and economic self-sufficiency of women and girls in La Plata County.

Our community has literally hundreds of resources to help women, but finding them on your own can be tough. That’s why we’re here. We offer a supportive environment where you can find the resources you need to take care of yourself and your family. Whether you need food, shelter and clothing or help with a business plan, we’ll take the time to learn about the unique challenges you face and can help you develop a plan of action to get you back on your feet and on your way to economic self-sufficiency.

Our staff and volunteers personally invest in your future in a non-judging environment. Our programs and services support women in transition because it's never too late, and situations are never too complicated, to get you to that next step in life. We are women empowering women in an effort to strengthen one another, our families and our communities.
