If you’ve ever driven through Detroit, chances are good that you’ve stopped at one of the region’s most iconic restaurants—a Detroit hamburger joint.
For years, these white porcelain-coated metal buildings featured some of the best no-frills burgers and coneys in the northern United States (and some would argue—in the world). These simple restaurants were generally owned and operated by first-generation immigrants, and they featured quick food that was both tasty and affordable.
Now, Dan and Lindsay Gearig have decided to bring this delicious Detroit tradition to Durango.
With burgers, coney dogs, hand-battered onion rings, soft serve ice cream, milkshakes, floats, and fries, you’ll find everything you (and your kids!) could want in a walk-up diner—just 500 feet from the Animas River Trail.
