Overview: Love Locals Week is a celebration of the people and businesses that make Durango such a vibrant place to live. During this week-long event, locals are invited to rediscover their favorite downtown shops, restaurants, galleries, and services while enjoying special offers, community events, and local experiences. It’s a chance to show appreciation for the businesses that support our community year-round while bringing neighbors together to shop, dine, and celebrate everything that makes Durango unique. This week-long celebration will include three components:
1. BOGO:
Buy One, Get One special on BID’s Heart of Durango Dollars digital gift cards. Locals can purchase a $100 Heart of Durango Dollars digital gift card and then receive a free $50 gift card. The free card must be used within 30 days of receiving it. BID’s gift card is currently accepted at 116 businesses within the district. There are 100 bonus cards available through this offer. Offer will expire on May 10th, or when all 100 cards have been claimed. Once you purchase your card, you will be able to see all the special offers available this week from the merchants listed below.

2. Deals & Specials:
Discover exclusive offers from over 40 participating businesses during Love Locals Week! From your favorite shops and restaurants to personal services and more, locals can take advantage of special deals available throughout the week. These special offers are available exclusively to Heart of Durango Dollars digital gift card holders. When you purchase a Heart of Durango Dollars digital gift card, you’ll also receive a bonus card that can be used at any participating location. You may use an existing card or purchase a new one through the BOGO program above to take part in the savings.

All offers will start on May 1 and run for 15 or 30 days. Heart of Durango Dollars Gift card holders will be able to see all offers under the offer tab on their card.
3. Local Events:
Throughout the week, locals can enjoy a lineup of fun and engaging events happening across downtown and beyond. How do I purchase a Heart of Durango Dollars digital gift card?
Visit our website, starting on May 1, select a $100 card and complete your purchase. You will then receive your Heart of Durango Dollars digital gift card through your email. Your bonus card will come in a separate email.
When will I receive my bonus $50 card with my purchase?
Your bonus card will come through your email immediately after the purchase of your $100 card

When does my bonus card expire?

Can I get a physical gift card?
No. The Heart of Durango Dollars digital gift card is not a physical card and is only available digitally. You may print the card information sheet when needed, but you will need to scan the QR code to be able to access all the details on the card, including the balance to use it. We encourage you to use the digital features to access the card.
How will I access my card?
Your card will be emailed to the email address that you provide at the time of purchase. When you open that email, you will need to activate your gift card. After the activation process, you will be able to see all the details on your card. This includes a list of places you can use your card, your card details, and a list of special offers from merchants.
How can I see the special offers that are part of the Love Locals Week?
After you purchase your card and activate it, you can select the special offers tab to view available offers from local merchants. These special offers only available to cardholders who make a purchase with their card.
Do I need to make a pre-purchase to qualify for the BOGO offer?
No pre-purchase is needed to qualify. Simply visit the website, purchase a $100 gift card, and you will receive a $50 bonus gift card.
