Tour and taste your way through all our local breweries, distillery and local wine here in Durango.
1. Steamworks Brewing located at 801 E. 2nd avenue. Opening in 1996, Steamworks has been brewing up some mighty delicious beer, with 14 great American Beer Fest awards and 4 world beer cups awards, they got the beer making down to a science. Check out their expansive bar inside or enjoy the huge elevated patio for a great view of the mountains, it’s a sweet place to hang out and enjoy a beer or two!
2. Four Leaves Winery is a quaint boutique winery located across the street from the historic Durango Silverton Narrow Gauge railroad station. They import the highest quality grapes and handcraft, blend and ferment all their own wines right in front of you. Stop in for a wine tasting, a glass of wine or pick up a bottle to take home. They now have a great outdoor patio that is pet friendly! Located at 528 Main Avenue.
3. Carver Brewing Company 1022 Main Avenue, features an array of brews on tap for everyone. From hopheads to Belgian style, you are sure to find something for your palate. With a great atmosphere at the front bar to the back patio, you will fit in with the locals. It's the local "Cheers" hang out spot.
4. Eso Terra Ciderworks at 588 Main Avenue. Eso Terra brings a new flare to Downtown, serving premium artisanal ciders crafted from heritage apples in orchards of the wild southwest. Located just down from the train depot, you will find a great atmosphere to sit back and enjoy the variety of ciders on the menu.
5. Durango Craft Spirits at 1120 Main Avenue. Durango's first grain-to-glass distillery since prohibition, producing small batch, creatively distinctive distilled spirits using the highest quality regional ingredients. Enjoy their innovative cocktails like the Stella Dempsey, made with Chokecherry Jam and Mayday Moonshine topped off with Ginger Ale.
6. Durango Beer and Ice Company located at 3000 Main Avenue. Durango newest Brewery, located in the North Main District. Offering local beer, good food and a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Check out their beautiful outdoor patio, it’s a great place to hang out and stay awhile.
7. Durango Winery at 900 Main Avenue Suite E. Featuring award-winning selections from wineries around the state of Colorado. They are working towards fermenting their own Durango Winery varietals soon. Located in a quaint downstairs location in the heart of Downtown. This is a perfect quiet spot to spend an afternoon with friends.
8. The Bookcase and the Barber at 601 E. 2nd Ave., Suite B - Beyond the bookcase you can access specialty-crafted cocktails and take a step back in time to the Prohibition if you know the password. Offerings some of the best cocktails in town, like an old Fashioned, Vesper, Screwdriver and more. Find the daily password on their Facebook page to get in.
9. Union Social House at 3062 Main Avenue in the North Main District. The Union Social House, where friends meet! This is a kid friendly location, with games and fun activities for the kids to enjoy while you socialize with your friends. Offering an array of food trucks with a variety of options. Enjoy hanging out in a great casual environment. Indoor and outdoor seating!
10. Sutcliff Vineyards Tasting Room at 120 W. 8th Street. The Sutcliff Vineyard out of McElmo Canyon has opened a new tasting room in Downtown Durango. The tasting room will offer a variety of local wines from the vineyard along with light food items like Charcuterie boards and salads.
11. El Moro Sprits and Tavern at 945 Main Avenue. The name ‘El Moro’ also reflects Durango’s history, as in the early 1900s, 945 Main Ave. truly was the El Moro Saloon. Serving up an extensive offering of beers and wines from throughout the world, and unique “old world” inspired cocktails that El Moro’s mixologists have christened “culinary cocktails.”
12. The Office at 699 Main Avenue. The office is a quaint little gathering spot serving very creative hand-crafted drinks, fine wines, and craft beers. Featuring local musicians most evenings & weekends. It’s the place to be after a long day at the “Office.”
13. The Diamond Belle Saloon at 699 Main Avenue. This is the real deal folks. Once home to the Strater-Thorpe Drugstore, The Diamond Belle was restored to its saloon greatness in 1957 when Earl Barker Jr. decided to “ask forgiveness instead of permission” of his father Earl Sr. The decision was immediately successful, and the saloon was full! There’s a lot of history in these walls (and ceilings). Come and “Belly Up” to The Belle.
14. Animas Brewing at 1560 East 2nd Ave. offers a variety of flavorful craft beer with a great selection of comfort food. Enjoy their fantastic patio during the warm season. Easy access right off the bike path by Rotary Park. Open for food and drinks daily at 11am (except for Monday, the kitchen opens at 4pm).
