Come to the Downtown Durango Balloon Glow on Friday October 17 and Saturday October 18, 2025 on the 500 block of Main Ave., from 6 to 7:30pm (weather permitting).
Arrive around 6 pm to see the balloons inflate. The glow starts at approximately 6:30 pm, weather and wind permitting. Visitors will be able to be up close to see the balloon pilots in action. Kids will love seeing all the colorful balloons! The balloons will come down around 7:30 pm, weather and wind permitting. Schedule subject to change.
Make sure you bring your camera for the glowing balloons. There will also be "candlesticks", which are the balloon basket and burners, without the balloon. Pilots will let kids get in the basket and pull the burner, it's really cool!
Come earlier or stay after to enjoy dinner at one of the local restaurants near the event: Gazpacho’s New Mexican Restaurant, Perbacco Cucina Italiana, Nini’s Taqueria, Sizzling Siam, Cuckoos, The Roost, East by Southwest or Mama Silvia's. Get a treat at Coldstone Creamery or Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, or a beverage at Four Leaves Winery and EsoTerra Ciderworks. There are great shopping options too, such as A Shared Blanket, Overland, Christmas in Durango, and more.
