Learn about Durango’s Wild West history and the characters and events that have shaped this town since it was staked in 1880 by the Denver & Rio Grande Railroad. From prominent town visionaries to immigrants, dangerous saloons, hangings, and notorious outlaws to “soiled doves” and red light districts; Durango had it all.
Our walking tours range from 1.5 - 2 hours and can be described as a 'stroll' on Main Avenue. Be prepared for lots of history! The Quick & Dirty Tour does not enter businesses and is considered handicap accessible. If you can navigate Durango's sidewalks then you can handle the tour. Dogs are allowed upon request.
