A locally-owned and independent bookstore since 1984, Maria’s Bookshop provides an inspiring community hub to locals and visitors of Southwest Colorado. Located on historic Main Avenue in Durango, Colorado, we support an enthusiastic learning environment and promote thoughtful and engaging dialogue in a warm, welcoming space. Local artwork hangs beside antique snowshoes, skis and bicycles on original brick walls and our custom-made wooden shelves are stocked with more than 40,000 books complete with rolling ladders.
